Anyone a fan of this curiosity? I laughed my head of listening to her, erm, unique interpretations of songs. There are a few mp3’s here and here’s a link to her bio.
You know, it’s a sad commentary on my life (or on how my memory works), but I knew immediately who this thread was about.
I’m familiar with one of her on-screen appearances. She did a rousing rendition of “It’s Magic” in some movie–maybe “The Cool Ones.” Don’t feel like looking it up on IMDB.
Wasn’t there a different “Miss Miller,” though, who was a frequent audience member on some talk show?
I prefer McCabe.
The grandmotherly Lillian Miller (1898-1990), always addressed as Miss Miller, was a regular member of the audiences for The Merv Griffin Show and The Tonight Show back when they both originated in New York in the 1960s and early 1970s.
Whoops, meant to say she was always addressed as Mrs. Miller.
