MS Access Question: Help ASAP!

I have several MS Access databases here at work.
I can’t get into one of them suddenly as there are no permissions for Users or Admins!
As the admin, I can’t even get in to re-assign permissions as, of course, I have no permission to get in!

Anyone know what caused these permissions to suddenly disappear, and more importantly, how to fix it?

Any help, ASAP, would be greatly appreciated!

i dunno.
check to see if the database is locked up by another use.
it may not be another user, but the last user crashed the database.

i would delete the ldb and try again.

The Access user and group info is stored in a workgroup (.mdw) file, so it sounds like you may have accidentally switched to a different workgroup.

In Access 2000 and earlier versions, the workgroup administrator functionality is contained in a standalone program, wrkgadm.exe; in Access XP, it’s a function under the Tools menu. Either way, do a search on your system to find the correct workgroup file, and use the workgroup administrator to join it.

You can also use the command line contained in the shortcut to override the workgroup file that’s being used. If the workgroup is specified there, make sure that the link is correct and points to the right place. That could cause the error you mention.
