Ms. Boods and weird dreams about people I don't know

Ok, so a week or so ago I saw this exchange on one of the threads:

The Great Zamboni:
*“The 60’s were murderous to rock bands, though the popular philosophy of Better Living Through Chemistry didn’t help.” *

Ms. Boods:
“Nonsense! Keith Richards doesn’t look a day over 120!”

I thought it was really funny, and I liked the names of the people who said it. So, I put it as my signature on another mb. Of course, I gave credit to Zamboni and Boods, not that anyone but me knows them, but you know, I want to follow whatever protocol is involved in that sort of thing. haha.

So, I’ve had this image of what Ms. Boods looks like. In my dream last night, she was this extremely thin, tall, fashionable woman who dressed kind of like a librarian. She had dark hair put up in a chignon, and she wore expensive looking glasses. She was kind of intimidating, but cool once I talked to her.

So, Ms. Boods, is that what you look like?

(not a stalker  )

Are you sure you don’t know me?

I am very tall (5’9") and slender (about 8st, or 112 lbs)…fashionable, check (although my fashion isn’t ‘in’ fashion if that makes any sense – my sister taught me how to dress what suits my colouring and physique and personality, not what the mass market would foist on me)…kinda expensive specs cos they have that non reflective coating on them…I have long dark hair (even darker at the moment as I decided to mess about with a tint this weekend and ended up with a dark maroon that’s got a purple cast – sounds funny, but it suits, actually. Normally it’s dark brown with natural red highlights…I don’t often wear it up, but lately I have been wearing Cherry Chau hairpieces which are big clips festooned with feathers and silk flowers which give the appearance of me having my hair swept up in the back…

‘Dresses as a librarian’ – well…I do quite a lot of work and research in libraries and museums, but I don’t think I fit the stereotype…

And I would say 99% of my friends and when I taught, my students, all said that I came across at first as a bit cold and standoffish, and then they thought I was actually awfully nice and liked to be around me (dunno if I’m cool – would like to be, I think!) Typical Virgo, I think – a bit of a loner and quiet observer.

Crikey!!!

I honestly do not have any photos of my since maybe high school (I’m 38!) So perhaps if all goes well, and I can attend my conference, you can come see me in action. In another post I mentioned I might wear my 60s butterfly print hotpants and micro mini suit, but lately I’ve been thinking about a long pale gold-green overlaid with floating lace panels salwar and a pair of white lace trousers (which actually suits the topic a bit better).

Anyway – gosh, thanks, I’m glad you liked the funny comment! Could not have done it without my straightman, though. Awfully flattering to be someone’s sig! I was just sifting through the threads whilst having my tea and saw my name, and thought, oh dear, what have I done!
