I’ve always thought the death of Junkyard Dog was especially sad, since he died in an auto accident as he was returning home from his daughter’s college graduation.
Damn… I remember Miss Elizabeth and the old names from the days when my sister used to watch wrestling. (then she got my brother into it) My sister wanted to find something interesting to watch on TV when she was about four years old (while my dad was out at church meetings)… she found it.
I knew I forgot to tell my brother something yesterday… and this reminded me of exactly what it was. Maybe I’ll point him (and my sister, when she gets back) to this thread.

Your right about this, but at that time the WCW was forcing all kinds of strange shit on her. Eventually she turned enough of it down, and was “let go” from the WCW.
To prove hardygrrl’s point (oh, and sorry about Jeff. I hated to see him go too.) Ms. Elizabeth was nearly forced by the higher ups at Turner to do a pictorial in Hustler… to of course go along with the uber-bitch heel role she was in at that time. She turned it down and they kicked her off TV for three months (three months worth of paychecks not paid too).
She was a class act, and one of the finest female Valet’s to ever grace the ring. I will miss her.
[hijack] I was saddened but not surprised by Jeff’s firing. I’d rather he get fired then end up like Kerry Von Erich.
Look at the full URL of that link… it was from Summerslam '88, which means it was in the WWF during the last years of its golden age. She didn’t turn up in WCW for another seven years.
