As some of you know, Ms. Undhow has been working on a project in Germany since November. This project, which was initially supposed to last only two months, was at last count thought to be on track to finish in April (!) and possibly later (!!). In that time I’ve only seen her one weekend a month.
So I get a call from my wife. Apparently, due to certain changed business conditions, the project is being placed on indefininte hold (and probably won’t come back). So Saturday, my sweetie’s coming home for good! Hooray!
I know the feeling. My wife has spent much of the time since New Year’s on the road for her company. While it’s not like being posted somewhere for months, it takes its own toll–even when she can make it home, it is sometimes so short that she lives out of a suitcase even there.
I can’t wait until her travel schedule slacks off (hopefully, around June) and she can unpack when she gets home. Then we’ll have a reunion like the one I imagine you’re looking forward to, Dewey.
