Who’s ranting? Women who behave that way don’t particularly bother me since I simply wouldn’t put up with it. And if other people choose to have that be the dynamic in their relationship, well, if that’s what makes them happy more power to them. None of my business.
It’s a mystery to me why women always seem to treat msmith so badly, by his accounts. It’s almost like they don’t like him.

If not, there sure are some striking similarities. Though, the misogyny is just a tad more unrestrained (and batshit insane) there.
Yeah, i can engage with msmith537 on some issues, even when i don’t agree with him.
But, when it comes to discussions of women, the guy is beyond reason. I suspect some childhood trauma, possibly being dropped on his head, that he blames on women.
Either that, or he’s never been laid.

Yes, ms mith is lame, but he’s totally entertaining. He’s a joke. There is absolutely no need at all to get worked up over the likes of him.

The wording of remarks made bymsmith in IMHO belongs in the Pit. The emphasis on the "all women suggests an intentional and not unconscious desire to engage people in a topic other than the one described in the linked OP.
The level of insight provided is prepubescent at best or at least openly and consistently hostile to a large portion of Forum members.
Suggestions:
- Grow up. If you are older than eleven, you are not showing it.
- If a girl or woman has hurt you, get over her.
- Get to know women.
- Overcome your need for constant attention from others. Negative attention is not a good substitute for positive attention.
- Find out what it is that you are really angry about. Tell somebody.
- You are too generally intelligent to remain a bigot, but it shows up a lot in what you write.

Somehow I get the impression his main problem is that vaginas have all those pesky women attached to them. A design flaw in nature’s packaging I’ve never really considered adequately before now, to be sure.
Though I understand manufacturers of inflatable plastic goods have addressed the problem.

The guy can be funny. In many of his posts there’ll be a line or two that crack me up. Here’s an example, from my memory, so a word or two might be different:
Some guy is singin’ the blues about losing his woman and msmith537 advises: “Cheer up. Soon another girl will come along to gripe when you stay out late drinking with your friends or forget to put the toilet seat down.”
I mean, that’s funny! If he grates on your nerves, just scan his posts and look for the occasional zinger.

It’s one thing to make disparaging comments about an entire class of people when you don’t really mean it, and everyone knows you don’t mean it, and it’s just for laughs. (example: I was hanging out with my Jewish roommates and their Jewish friends one night; they were complaining about being broke. “Well, damn,” I said, “You know I’m only hanging out with you guys so I can snag a rich Jewish husband.”)
It’s another thing altogether when someone is making those comments in earnest.
On the other hand, maybe you’re right. I hearby resolve to always refer to msmith537 as ms mith and not to respond to his jack-assery except by pointing and laughing.

Ms mith’s misogyny doesn’t bug me as much as the fact that he’s (purportedly) an adult man who still calls people nerds, dorks, and dweebs. I’m not offended by it even though I am a nerd, I just think it’s kind of sad.
