Sweet mother of fuck, can we stop calling every post we don’t like an act of trollery? Yes, the thread in question was vastly ignorant, but he clearly wanted to discuss the subject and was at least somewhat open to debate, seeing as how he opened a thread in GD about it.
For fuck’s sake, stop reflexively calling peoples trolls when they post something when it’s simply ignorant or an unpopular opinion. Not everybody is as smart as you are and holds all the popular opinions you do.

Can we still call it trolling when people use false premises to stir up a debate? Rather than using an honest set of questions, using lies and half-truths to frame the argument isn’t just ignorant, it’s goading.

If he’s purposely lying, he’s trolling. But in this case, I see no reason believe he’s not simply a truthful idiot. His ignorant-ass OP is pretty typical of what a lot people think about atheism.

However, I’m a bit confused. The OP basically accused atheists of being evil or psychopathic… and yet, calling him on that is against the rules. As I said later in the thread- if the OP had been a guest instead of a board regular, what would the immediate assumption have been?
And since every one of the points mswas propped up has been repeatedly refuted in previous threads, well… shouldn’t mswas be held to a higher standard than a guest?
