I would’ve thought putting (hypothetical) in the subject title would help people to understand I wasn’t arguing a position that I hold to. I guess I give people too much credit.

There is a clearer notion of normative Christianity than there is of normative atheism.
Nothing is wrong with it, you cvan turn your sock inside out if you want when you become a Christian. It doesn’t tell me that this has anything to do with how other Christians react to their conversion experience.
