.mui files? What are they?

My Win 10 was just updated and the Win 7 games that used to run no longer do. So I looked for win 7 games and downloaded and installed them. The installed games have an extension .exe.mui and clicking on them has no effect (except to offer to take me to the MS store to look for an app that can open them). Any suggestions?

Why does MS hate me?

It’s some type of language resource file. You still need the .exe file.
