I’m looking for a utility (preferably freeware, naturally) to burn my large collection of digital photos onto multiple DVDs. Ideally I would like to simply select the “My Pictures” directory, which has a subdirectory for each month of the last few years, and keep inserting discs until the burning is complete. I don’t want to have to keep selecting two or three months at a time for each disc.
I think Roxio’s EZ-CD Creator will do this for you. However, I have just used it to split physically large single files - in which case you need the program to be able to “put them back together again” later on.
But I have a feeling that what you are asking is a feature of EZ CD - you tell it what to burn, it tells you how much of a disk it’ll fill up and eventually if you go over the limit of the disk in the drive, it starts chunking things into multiple disks.
