Multiple Photo Scanning software

Ugh, I hate Vista for the little things.
I am positive that before I upgraded to Vista, I was able to load my flatbed scanner full of pictures, and run a single preview scan. From that preview I was able to adjust borders and scan and save individual pictures. It was a quick and dirty way to get a large amount of photos scanned. Now I am not able to do that (or at least I haven’t stumbled across a method). Every single photo has to be previewed, adjust, and scanned. It’s a HUGE pain to do that over and over and over.

This is really a problem now that my mother has died. My family dumped a ton of old family photos on me to scan for everybody. I need to find a way to scan lots of photos rather quickly.

What are your hardware or software or any other suggestions suggestions?
I can’t be the first person who has faced this problem.

Thanks,

E3

Vuescan should do this with any scanner. It is not the most user-friendly program, though.

An Epson should be able to do what you want. I have an NX400 and its software is capable of selecting multiple images from a single document.

Thanks you two. I was getting worried that this thread was going to drop into thread oblivion.

I’ll check these out.
