Munchkin Mini Mafia

So, I royally screwed up by not getting my Action in, and now that I’ve read what happened at the end of the Turn, I feel I need to reveal. My item is the Ring of Limited Wishes. On Turn 1, I used it to investigate Hawkeyeop, who came back Lawful Good.

I had planned to use it to investigate someone else this Turn (I will refrain from naming that person at this time), then reveal both investigations at this time, hoping to set the table with some quality info. But of course work intervened and I was too stupid to get the Action in early.

I realize that by not getting this second investigation, I’ve put a major hole in my own credibility. But there’s nothing I can do about that now. I definitely plan to investigate someone this Turn, and in fact I will be submitting that action as soon as I finish posting this, to avoid a repeat of today. I may change my target later, of course.

I think everyone should do this. Better to have an action that is outdated than no action at all.

NETA: except for the stabby ones!

Luckily I got mine in well in advance. Unfortunately, my target was Storyteller.

Yeah, this lack of Night thing is rather unfortunate.

If you’ve been cursed, please step forward.

Hi all, sorry for being gone most of the day. I just checked into my hotel and am going out for something to eat (finally) in a bit. I will try to figure out what the hell is going on in this game later tonight or tomorrow morning. I had planned on getting on here this am and putting in my action but the morning turned into a total bitch. I could not for the life of me get my &#^#*&^#&^#& printer to print out my boarding pass or my reservation confirmations using either a god-damned mac or an ass-sucking thinkpad.

Bottom line I did not get an action in either.

<oog>I’m seeing my son for the first time since May:cool: so I might not be on quite as much for the next couple of days.</oog>

We are doomed.

Maybe the scum forgot to curse too?

Not Yet.

So I had this plan. I thought, if I ever get an Evil reading, I’ll pretend that I failed and try and push for that person’s lynch anyway. Then we could generate data based on how people react to the lynch push. I now see my plan is stupid because all it would take is one Evil watching me to know who I targeted and whether or not I was successful. In other words, such a strategy could severely backfire.

I also didn’t want to reveal early because that would kill the day. Not that we’ve been all that talkative anyway. At least not about who to disintegrate.

I investigated Hockey Monkey. Hockey Monkey is Evil. Or to be precise, I detected Evil on Hockey Monkey. As far as I know, there are no actions or items that could confuse my reading. Obfuscating items would give me a “Good” false reading or prevent any reading at all, but cannot give me a false “Evil” reading. The only question for you guys is whether or not you think I’m Evil trying to get Hockey Monkey killed.
vote Hockey Monkey

One of us is going to be disintegrated.

Does anyone else have the sinking feeling that Chucara investigated storyteller this Turn?

I think we’ve learned why these games need to have a Night phase. It simply is not realistic to expect all your players to be online during the final moments of a Turn. I was going to investigate Hawkeyeop who nearly died, and only settled on Hockey Monkey because I didn’t want to risk investigating someone who was dead. Maybe I should be sending Pleonast conditionals.

sachertorte: I was damn close  But I didn’t. I think you have me convinced of a full reveal of my actions, but I’ll think about it until tomorrow.

vote Hockey Monkey

As I see it, we either lynch sachertorte or Hockey Monkey. (At least one of them has to be scum) If sachertorte is lying, we will get scum Tomorrow, and we aren’t at lylo yet. And I think lynching both is a horrible idea.

On a side note, I really don’t like the sudden storyteller rush. I haven’t read everything yet, so again I’ll have to get back to you tomorrow. Hopefully, scum will have cursed story as no one appears to have been cursed of those that are still alive.

Then that should be you since you are a big fat liar.

I’m not feeling so good, guys.

Wait, not Good. I’m Good, as always. It’s just the air’s gotten a bit thick around me, dogs shy away from me in the street, and children laugh and point more than usual.

Your friendly neighborhood assassin done got Cursed.

Bad times. Your powers are really sucky. I don’t think it makes sense to cure you as you could end up killing me if I try. What a dumb power.

You sure about that, boss? If there were five scum to start off with, we’re at lylo right now.

sache’s investigation comes at just the right time for that. If one of 'em has to die, I’m going to go with him.

vote: sachetorte

Hugely dumb power. Totally anti-town role, all the way around.

Currently there are 11 players. The number of Evil players is 3 to 5, with 4 being the most likely.

A 6/5 split is the worst case; it puts us at LyLo. If that’s the case, then a mislynch ends the game, whether or not someone was Cursed. This would also mean that we can’t afford to Disintegrate for information. We have to pick the right player out of Sachertorte or Hockey Monkey to lynch. Consequently, I am not going to rush into a vote right now. I will be voting for one of them; just not before I’ve slept on the issue.

A 7/4 split is more manageable; it means we can afford a mislynch, even if the Cursed player also dies. However, we must at all costs avoid a tied Disintegration this Turn, as two Disintegrated Good players plus a successful Curse gives Evil the win.

An 8/3 split gives us far more breathing room. It’s not very likely though.

I think we need to play as if one of the first two scenarios is true, lynching only one player and not rushing into a Disintegration that hands the game to the Evil side.

Booadio, votes must be in Blue.

My investigation comes when it comes. I don’t have control over the results.
