Mundane, but Really Cute, Kid Stuff

My husband took his six-year-old son fishing today. It’s the second time the boy has been fishing. Today, though, he caught his first fish. Little bitty perch, and they threw it back, but the boy was soooooo excited! I was happy for him.

I also decided to enroll my three-year-old daughter in school. It’s that school that’s not quite pre-school, but slightly more advanced than ordinary day care. My cousin has a four-year-old in this program, and so does a woman I work with. Both of their kids just love it. It’s also close by my house, has good hours, and is actually not too expensive. I asked my daughter if she wanted to go to school. OH boy, did that ever make her little day! She’s been wanting to go to school ever since she saw my cousin’s daughter in her Christmas program last year. Nice to know I can occasionally make my kid happy!

My ten-month-old son is learning how to dance. He can’t walk yet, but he’s getting really good at bouncing up & down & tossing his curly little head. Just cutes the dickens right out of me!
