Murphy's Laws for the SDMB

People will be long since bored with the topic by the time you get the computer to open the dang page
The screen freezes one step before opening the selected page (usually #3) of your chosen thread, it takes two minutes to bring up each and every page {this is not exaggeration}, it says unregistered the instant after you register, and instead of bashing the monitor with a sledgehammer, you let it thaw for two days–
Or you get it the next day and spend two more looking for your lost thread.

Then follows elmwood’s law.

After clicking a link that leads to a GD thread, you will read it and post a long, well-thought out reply to it, and after hitting submit, you will see that the last reply in it was posted in March 2000.

I wonder if, just for grins, somebody could post a link to the actual Threadspotting thread right about here.

Although I must admit, the Murphy’s Law-ness of this particular link is not lost on me.

I submit that you will be assumed to be whichever gender you aren’t.

If you are mostly a lurker, then the posts you are most likely to respond to have just been closed by the Mod.
