Muscle twitches

(Apologies if this has been asked before, but I searched and didn’t find anything…)

My eyelid has been twitching involuntarily for a few days now…I’ve heard such spasms are stress-related…? Anybody know for sure, or have any suggestions?

Yes, please.

My left eyelid has been doing this. Vision hasn’t changed, and no injury, eyelashes attacking, etc.

It does seem to be worse when I feel the blood pressure creeping up.

Answers, we need answers!

Calcium.

Increase your calcium intake. Lots of dairy stuff, and also try calcium supplements. It might take a week or so, but the twitches will stop nicely.

VOW is quite correct. And some tonic water wouldn’t hurt either.

My left eyelid keeps twitching. Why?

Thanks.

I’ve been trying less computer time, already take vitamins, but not a B complex. Standing with my face in a hot shower spray seems to help, and I bought some calcium supplements today.

[panicmode]Please Please let this work. My coffee mug is grafted to my hand.[/panicmode]

This is a nice thread, as I also have the “Eye-twitching” for quite long periods at a time. May I ask, also, if the advice given also works for muscle spasms in the legs etc?

Hi

I’ve had this off and on for several years. It appears to be stress related but my doctor recommended Magnesium. It works for me

It should. My mom has been given a prescription for quinine sulfate and they calm down leg muscle spasms and pain in a fairly quick amount of time. Barring that, tonic water and the calcium/magnesium ought to do it.
