That is…do any Dopers have some suggestions for good, old fashioned, charging to the rescue in shining armor on a white horse music?
My picks, so far:
•“Holding out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler
•“Escape” from the soundtrack to Plunkett and Macleane
•“Heroes” by David Bowie
•The main theme from the Superman movie. (As composed by John Williams. 'Natch.)
-Actually, there are quite a few superhero-movie soundtrack themes that would work well, for some strange reason.
•The action music from The Black Hole. (Composed by John Barry, of 007 fame.)
So…anyone else?
Orff’s Carmina Buana (esp O Fortuna) works well for heros and villans. The film Excalibur puts it to really good use.
Bach’s Fuge in C minor (I think) the organ masterpiece is great for any time you’re rushing into battle against superior foes with only justice on your side.
Just about everything by Queen related to the Highlander movie, esp Princes of the Universe.
