I was going to recommend them, but thought it might be damn hard to find any of their stuff. Now I see that Amazon has their stuff on mp3, so I recommend the album Distance. Also, to a lesser extent, Aftermath if you want something more aggressive.
…I am very jealous now.
Just played (& enjoyed) Emilie Autumn. An amazing talent.
Yeah, he almost got me an internship at a very cool recording studio. They had the console that Kashmir was recorded on. It was a very cool studio. The problem was when I wasn’t with Roli I couldn’t get back in and I couldn’t get a callback.
Apollyon Sun was recording there when I went in. I’d just been fired from subway for not making sandwiches fast enough and Tom Warrior told me that I’d definitely make it in that business because of that.
It helped my self-esteem cuz I felt like I was an idiot for not being able to make sandwiches fast enough, and by not fast enough I mean about 10x as fast as anyone outside of Manhattan makes them. I was only like 5x as fast as your local sandwich artist.
He was wrong of course, I never made it in that biz.
Roli Mossiman was kind of a depressive who whined about his ex-wife a lot and talked about his kid non-stop.
Awesome. That said, you’re going to give me a swelled head if you keep liking all the music I suggest.
