A mate of mine has just got an ion icue mixing deck and requires Numark Cue V5 (or more).
Are there any freeware (not trial versions) sites she should check out first? Even time limited ones she can try while saving.
What other software could she try out before buying?

My friend has limited eyesight, she can’t cruise the web easily, she uses a magnifier app that magnifies one single line at a time. Music is what she does instead of almost everything.
I know nothing about mixing and wouldn’t know a good system from a Nigerian email scam - and that’s even now that I’m home and the vodka is put firmly away.

You need a freeware DJ program that supports MIDI control from USB hardware like the icue. A google search for “freeware dj software usb controller support” tossed back a whole boatload of options, including Mixxx for Mac. I’ve never used either that progrm or the icue, but it sounds like it could be set up to work with your friend’s kit, assuming she has a Mac… and is ready for some trial and error in setting the software up as it probably won’t support the controller straight out of the box.
