Damn Yankees “Come Again” (wow, what a SUBTLE song title!)
The whole song is structured like a big orgasm. Plus I think Tommy Shaw back then, with his hair long, was hot.

Stevie Ray Vaughn slower blues like Things I Used to Do. Can’t think of any other titles right now, except Cold Shot, another sexy one.
I’ve never heard Massive Attack before this thread. They’re good. I found Teardrop on Youtube. It’s hard for us geezers to keep up now that Dick Clark is retired. (speaking for myself only)
Pretty much anything sung by:
Karen Carpenter
Enya
Celtic Woman
Annie Haslam
“Teardrop” is one of my favorite songs, period, and what got me into Massive Attack in the first place. The singer on that song is Beth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins. You might want to check out the Cocteau Twins, too, if you liked that song. It’s got the same type of ethereal, unintelligible Beth Fraser vocals, but with a more “dreamy” type of musical accompaniment. It sounds like the music of forest pixies to me. Very otherworldly, angelic, and airy.
Anyhow, I never thought “Teardrop” could be covered well, but there’s an outstanding acoustic-guitar-and-male-vocalist version by Jose Gonzalez worth checking out.
Been mentioned already - “Closer” NIN
“Sea of Love” Honeydrippers
“Under the Milky Way” The Church
“Fields of Gold” Sting
“Throw Your Arms Around Me” Hunters and Collectors
“When You Come” Crowded House
“Little Henry” Nick Cave and PJ Harvey
Jessica Rabbit.
There isn’t any music per se that goes to my groin. However, I think the most incredibly sensuous music is Maurice Ravel’s ballet, Daphnis and Chloe. It sounds like he uses every subtle orchestral color effect in the book as well as others not as subtle.
BTW, on Sinatra’s first appearance on the Tonight Show, Carson said to him (approximately), “Us guys play your records to create a romantic mood. What do you play?” He said, “Daphnis and Chloe, [Debussy’s] The Sunken Cathedral, all that classy jazz…”
My vote would go to “Moments in Love” by The Art of Noise, especially the stripped down alternate version “Love”.
WTF! No Rev. Al??? (Al Green for you kids)
If you can’t get laid to “Moondance”… you can’t get laid.
My Bloody Valentine - Strawberry Wine, Can I Touch You, You Never Should, Feed MeWith Your Kiss, Claire…
Dead Can Dance - Saltarello, The Spider’s Slow Strategem, The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove
I was always kind of partial to Jefferson Starship’s “Miracles”.
Based on previous comments, I may have to check out Massive Attack. “Teardrop” is the “House” theme, right?
Here’s an odd one: “You Don’t Have to Be a Baby to Cry” by the Caravelles. Something about the way they sing “biy-iy-bee” just gets to me. Go figure.
And Ronnie Spector’s voice always did it for me too.
There was a group called Smith who had one hit, a cover of “Baby It’s You”… on that song, vocalist Gayle McCormick conveyed an intense desire that was white-hot.
Other singers with voices I find sexy are Sandy Denny and Jacqui McShee.
Here’s a few for the list:
Take Me To The Top - Loverboy (I LOVE the keyboard!!)
All Night - Def Leppard
Feelin’ Love - Paula Cole (video and sound is crap, but it’s the only one I could find that was actually Paula singing)
That’s The Way Love Oughta Be - Donnie Iris (go to Rhapsody or something and listen to the album version)
Freeek! - George Michael (Video and lyrics NSFW)
…Ok, I better stop now!
“Greetings From LA” - Tim Buckley. Pick any track or just use the whole thing as a soundtrack.
-Mitch
“Let’s get it on” - Marvin Gaye
I think you meant “Wagner.”
Me too.
Massive Attack and Closer have been mentioned, but Flower by Liz Phair also gets me pretty excited (or gives me the giggles, one of the two).
Cherry Blossom Girl by Air is also pretty good, at least for making out.
