Music, what are you listening to right now?

This blew my mind once again. The finale has so much forward thrust and impetus, it’s just unbelievably thrilling.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit - Here We Rest
Eilen Jewell - Queen of the Minor Key

Some red-hot blues by Libby Holman: Libby Holman sings Moanin Low - YouTube

Ooh, I didn’t know she had a new album out!

On Sunday I listened to “The Rising” (entire album) by Bruce Springsteen. It kind of felt appropriate.

Enya - Watermark, before that Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here, and before that a selection Gilbert & Sullivan tunes from Iolanthe, Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, etc.

Next up… Johnny Cash… variety being spice and all that. (I <heart> my iPod).

Gaia - Tuvan (Gareth Emery Remix)

On my Ipod, exceprts from **Jethro Tull’**s Bursting Out Live

In my CD player, a complication of vocal tracks by Paul Gilbert.

Gilbert & Sullivan: “The Gondoliers.”

I listen to this one over and over and watch the video, too: The National - "Conversation 16" (Official Video) - YouTube

Sad but lovely.
Hey, it’s got a Thanksgiving turkey pardon, international politics, rain, and a guy from Mad Men. What more could one ask for in a music video?
