All of Mozart’s symphonies. Yes, I’m working on a huge art project, and need lots of background music.
“A Reason to Stay Up All Night” by Emma Wallace. She is an independent artist who I just happened to discover through an Amazon recommendation (I was looking at Scott Joplin stuff). Her melodies have a sort of old-fashioned quality, but are very catchy, and the lyrics are quirky.
Linkin Park; From the Inside at the moment.
Edit: It just went to Nobody’s Listening as I typed the above.
Title track from new Mars Hollow CD.
Bob Dylan - “Together Through Life” album.
I actually like Dylan’s voice these days!
Incubus’ latest album, If Not Now, When? Growing on me big time. Especially Isadore and In The Company of Wolves.
The Powaqqatsi soundtrack: From Egypt. Not quite as great as hearing it live at the Hollywood Bowl, but great nonetheless.
The newest Homestuck album, Prospit & Derse.
Nine Inch Nails - Piggy
TV on the Radio
I saw them a few nights ago, and have been listening to their 2 most recent records a lot more than before.
Whole Enchilada (live acoustic) Keb Mo
Nirvana’s In Utero. I forgot how great that album is.
Along Comes Mary, by Bloodhound Gang
I am unashamedley and non-ironically listening to “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees.
James Taylor’s Greatest Hits.
Hank 3’s new metal album Attention Deficit Disorder. Good shit, although I’m less chemically altered than would be ideal.
Isis- “In Fiction”
At home assorted Pet Shop Boys; in the car Justin Bieber’s “My Worlds 2.0”.
::slinks away::
Backstreet Boys greatest hits. I am waaay old and I love Everybody and Larger Than Life. And others. There’s something about their music that never gets old. Backstreet’s BACK, baby!
