It strikes me that highly sexually repressed people (like fundamentalist muslims0 ought to be a witch’s brew of neuroses, psychopathological behavior, etc. Anybody know how prevalent rape is in muslim countries-or do reliable statistics simply NOT exist?
I don’t think there are very reliable statistics - rape is considered to be the fault of the woman attacked, so it is her best interest not to report it. I have read stories of women being disowned and even killed for “dishonoring” their family be being raped.
What’s rape? I know that, for a time and in some Islamic countries at least, it wasn’t rape(zina-bil-jabr) unless penetration happened in physical view of at least four adult male Muslim men who would testify that it was rape. Needless to say, there’s very little rape under that definition.

Interesting, huh? When I was a girl growing up in America, there was no such thing as a man raping his wife. It wasn’t until I was in junior high that there was talk that maybe a man forcing his wife to have sex when she didn’t feel like it might be turned into a crime.
Isn’t this guy the real tool here.
Good Lord, you haven’t been paying much attention to Muslim preaching since 1979 then… Believe me, a lot of them make Fred Phelps look like a Christian.
