Holy shit dude! I was doing a little looking into the Eleanor Mustangs used in “Gone In 60 Seconds” and stumbled across a company called Custom Recreations that is actually making these things…sort of.
They can’t use the Eleanor name because the producer of the film owns the rights, so they are calling it the Shelby Mustang GT-500CR…and boy, what a car!
Its an “I won the lottery” car as it starts at over 100k, but talk about a combination of classic looks (they use original 1967 Mustang bodies) and unreal performance!

Well, I suppose I could shave $50k off the price by going with the 545 model, but I’m not sure I could safely merge into traffic with only 545 horsepower. I think I better go for the 900s with the full 770 hp… safety reasons of course.
I agree completely. 545hp will never do. The peasantry production cars like the ZR-1, the 2013 Shelby Cobra and the Camaro ZL-1 all make more horsepower than that, along with most of the higher end German and Italian supercars.
And its 790hp, not 770…
Did you click on the link for the GT-350? Available upgrade: twin intercooled turbocharges for the same 427 c.i. engine…1000+horsepower. Good grief…
