My apologies to Mr. Saleen, uh, Mr. Ferrari, may I have a word...

In a previous thread, I cast dispersions on the $395,000 Saleen S7. I could not find any logical reasons to justify any car being worth that kind of dough. Well, I am terribly sorry, Mr. Saleen. Now that I’ve seen this, your car is quite the bargain.

The latest supercar from Ferrari, the Enzo, is priced at a lofty $650,000!!! Put your checkbooks away, though, as all 349 have already been sold.

Batman, your new car is ready.

:frowning:

Feh, I guess you’ve never heard of the McLaren which clocks in at a cool $1 million dollars. (But hey! Ya get a titanium tool kit with it!)

However: the Enzo is absolutely gorgeous, unlike that ugly Saleen.

Wow. Wow wow wow.

Thought I’d pop in to say that my two-year old son’s middle name is Enzo, naned such since I’m such a fan of Ferrari.

I was happy to see an actual model named the “Enzo” after Mr. Ferrari himself. But, this car is just a little different than other Ferrari’s …hard to describe…but maybe it’s the sharp edges in various styling area that make it ‘different’.

For Pininfarina, it’s just a little different body style than I’m used to. It has to grow on me, because I’m not in love with it like the other Ferraris…which are sooooo graceful.

Puh-lease - do not put “Saleen” in the same sentance as.

Ferrari.

$650k is a bargain for this machine. Looks like an F1 car with bodywork. I’ll be looking forward to seeing one at next years VC Hillclimb…

Dammit! I have somehow become drunken without my knowledge or involvement!

I was reading an article about this car in Car and Driver and read this:

“There’s air conditioning, but no sound system.”

YOU might think that the roar of the V-12 behind your head is music to your ears, but for $650K, I want a freaking stereo.

Oh, and those side windows have got to go. Or get their shape changed.

I think it’s kind of cheesy the way they style the front to look like a high-nose F1 car with a wing, when it’s not really a wing.
