Oh, thanks for the update! I was just wondering about you all the other day and meant to search for recent news. Everytime I see an owl picture I think of your beautiful little girl!
I’ve been following the facebook page to know what is happening. This year, I even participated in the “Tell Six” being sure to hand them out to people who are of an age to consider this issue. You’ve done an excellent job publicizing it.

Bearflag - I just read this thread. Much of this happened when I was very new to the 'Dope, and wasn’t sure which threads I wanted to follow. I’m glad I started with your latest update - knowing your little Owl is doing well made reading the ups and downs of the thread much easier.

Look up Laurie Horiup on her blog. She is a grandmother with that decease, was head of California’s Handicapped division. avery wonderful woman who livedas normal a life as possible. She also wrote a Book " My life with a handicap. she could give you good advice on Your daughter’s condition as she has the same handicap.
Miss Getty is getting so big! And she’s just adorable. Hoot-hoot to the little owl!
It does make me very happy to hear that she’s getting this quality of life, and that you guys are doing such a great job advocating for your daughter. You are simply doing a superb job - hat’s off to you and your wife. I am in awe of you guys!
I think of you folks often, because Getty was diagnosed when I was pregnant, and she’s just a little older than my guy. So I check in with the blog from time to time to see how you’re doing. I’m always happy to see news and photos of you all. But this post in particular was the most touching thing I’ve read in a long time. Best wishes to you.
