It’s pride week in Montreal, and my best friend James got interviewed about his life on the street after running away from a homophobic home. If anyone ever doubts what gay kids go through… anyway. I’m so proud of him!!

Congrats to James! As a parent, I’m not going to pretend that this wouldn’t be a very difficult issue, but abandoning my own flesh and blood is absolutely inconceivable. The suicide stats quoted in the story are so very scary! Of course, stats are tricky, but I’ll bet their not too far off. James is doing better now, I trust? Again, congrats.
