My Breasts

I would agree that going to the doctor is a good idea. Could just be normal, but could also a hormone imbalance, especially if your period is absent, very light, or irregular. The test for serum estrogens is quick and relatively inexpensive, so it shouldn’t be hard to convince a doctor to do it.

BTW, astro, not all big-breasted women hate their breasts. The problem seems to be big breasts and a small chest. 36DD can be hard to deal with. 48F is no problem.

FWIW, small boobies is my fave. (o)(o)

Not big 'uns. ( @ ) ( @ )

But I’d never complain either way.

PS- Triangles? V V

"isn’t there some kind of magic bra on the market that doesn’t simply enhance what’s there, but actually causes (on average) a half-a-cup increase’

Yep. Find them at a bra store. They also even make rubber breast inserts for the bra. You should be able to find them on the net too.

My advice: if you are insecure about your breasts wear a padded bra. I’ve been with girls before who hid their small breasts, and it never bothered me when we got into the bedroom. Plus, for guys big boobs are like hubcaps; they look nice from the curb but when you’re behind the wheel you don’t really need them.

A lady told me she used one of those ‘water bras’ to get bigger breasts but when the guy was feeling her up he couldn’t find her breasts.

(This is probably the only time in my life that I’ll be able to say that my breasts have gotton over 1300 views…)
As for there being some serious medical problem… ehhh… I dunno. If I did have a hormone imbalance, wouldn’t there be other symptoms? Like I said before, my period is as average and regular as it could be, and you’d think that’d be the first thing to go if there really was some problem with my girly-ness.

('course the possibility did cross my mind, which is partly why I posted. What’s that they say about not asking questions you don’t want to hear the answer to?)

I hardly ever go to the doctor, for any reason, but next time I’m there I’ll bring up the subject, okay everyone? I promise. Scout’s honor.

Hugs-n-smiles to everyone who said that I’m okay just the way I am. I do know that intellectually and it’s not like this is some horrible albatross of shame and humiliation; it’s only a minor annoyance when I want to wear a tight t-shirt. I do realize that anyone who would judge me on something so shallow isn’t worth the time it would take to tell them to kiss my ass. But it would still be nice to be just a little bit curvier. Just for me.

Or maybe I’ll just crop my hair short and go butch.

And can we please drop this now; I’m starting to get embarrassed. Why does this have to be the one thread that handy keeps coming back to?

No, not necessarily. You also may have other symptoms that you have failed to notice, or have failed to associate with a potential hormone imbalance.

Again, no, not necessarily. I have suffered from a hormone imbalance for years, and my period has always come as regularly as the monthly bills. This is really rather unfortunate, as I probably would have been diagnosed much earlier had this not been the case.

You didn’t really mention in any great detail the mental affects that this has had on you. it seems to me you’re quite distressed and feel inadequate.

All I can say is that it’s -no- good to create these situations saying to yourself ’ I don’t care’ as an excuse to ‘cope’ You have to actually believe what you’re saying.

I had a physical condition that significantly impacted the way I functioned. once the ‘physical’ element was removed the ‘mental element’ was still there.

I’m not sure if you’re eluding to the fact that you aren’t entirely happy with your body image. But just remember there’s two parts to these types of problems ‘mental’ and ‘physical’

If it’s just physical, then fuck it. Celebrate your body within yourself rather than resenting it for years
I don’t know what I just said. But I think it’s readable.

In the meantime, you might try some pectoral exercises. They’ll make your breasts bigger (because the muscles beneath are larger) and act as a natural bra.
