My cat finds new accomodation.

Meet Nimitz, a 3 year old Russian Blue/Ragdoll X. He’s my cat (the first I’ve had) and he’s a pretty awesome little critter.

When he’s not sitting on our roof watching over his domain or patrolling the neigbourhood he’s content to sit on my shoulder and read books or watch TV with me. My wife has noted a few times that he’s the most ‘dog-like’ cat she’s ever seen which is probably why I like him so much.

Yesterday one of my neighbours came over with Nimitz in a cat-carrier. Turns out when he’s on patrol he also stops off at her place to stare down her cats, eat their food and, today, go in through her pet-door and find a sunny place to sleep on her sofa! Which is where she found him when she got home, he was so relaxed that she was just able to pick him up and put in the carrier with ease.

Apparently he’s also found a way to slip out of our pergola and go over at night to cause trouble. I think I’ve located and blocked his escape route and we’re bringing him in earlier now. He’s not happy but the neighbour is.

That is fantastic. What a clever kitty.

Oh, my! He is very beautiful. My cats have always been very inventive when it comes to finding ways to be where they are not meant to be.

You gotta love a cat with charisma. Seems like he’s full of personality and his mission in life is pure hedonism and hijinks. I can’t help but respect the hell out of Nimitz

The thing is, almost every day when I get home from work he runs over from the general direction of my neighbours house. Leading me to wonder just how much time he has spent snoozing on her couch after kicking her cats out.

I suspect a lot, this is just the first time he’s been caught.

I’m told he also harassess small dogs, to the point people walkng past pick them up.

It’s always funny when someone finds out that “their” cat is going outside when they’re not supposed to.

I just sat and read that whole site. Thanks, it was hilarious and now I’m hooked.

I would like to commend you on your cat-naming skills. Does he steal celery as well?

At this stage nothing would suprise me. I doubt he’ll sprout an extra set of legs either :frowning:

He’s gorgeous.

My two Ragdolls are the loves of my life.

Our two cats were indoor-only for the first 3.5 years of their lives. We lived in condos <this was just a few months ago> and across the way, the neighbor had a kitty-door for her cat.

Of course my Little Orange Cat is pretty little, at least compared to her brother, but she was always the one sneaking out the door when she could. And if she saw the neighbor cat…a big, black tom without a care in the world who owned the whole neighborhood…she’d take off after him like he was the biggest threat EVER, and chase him back into his house…and follow him! Luckily I was friends with the neighbor and could get her back out.

Right now, the other cat, the big one, enjoys the neighbor’s yard far more than ours, and lounges there all day long. Of course, they have grass…that might be it.
