I LOVE when they do that! My cat Joey snores and it is the cutest sound in the whole world, way cuter than the incessant whining to be fed all the dang time. 
I always get a kick out it when my little buddy is sleeping and I hear him growling in his sleep. Makes me laugh every time.
Sometimes a few of the cats and the dog get into a snoring/purring rhythm when they’re all sleeping in a pile. It’s cute but you can hear it two rooms away.
My McLaren, 18+ lbs. of grey fluffy deadweight, snores like the old man that he is.
I’m talking about a full-on, wake-the-dead, back of the throat rattle.
It is the funniest noise I’ve ever heard a cat make (well, aside from the time that DynahCat ripped a stinker).
DynahCat, the little lady that she is, barely makes any noise when she snores, it’s more of an wheezy sound than anything else.
Little Persephone doesn’t snore, but she sleeps so soundly that it can be hard to wake her up without completely startling her.
The fuzzy black land shark who lives in my house likes to sleep on my bed overnight, and sometimes snores so loud he wakes me up.

My husband’s half-grown kitten not only snores, but he mumbles, grumbles, growls, mutters, and occasionally smacks his lips while he sleeps.
