On the one hand, the whole thing was horrid and blasphemous.
On the other hand, is not a synagogue a place to celebrate the covenant twixt G-d and Abraham? Was it really so wrong that these women were ripping my pants off in an attempt to see the mark of that covenant?
Also I already bought tickets for high holy day services. And their not refundable. And I’m very curious to see just how Debbi blows the shofar.

I plan to drop a note to thewebmaster of the national church’s website suggesting that he contact ICRA and get the site rated, for just the reasons Miller indicated.
Hmmm…I wonder if the Episcopal Church’s website coming up as porn and the vote by the House of Deputies regarding Rev. Robinson have anything to do with one another now…grrr…
To elaborate, I was just listening to NPR and the vote has been delayed since an apparent email allegation of inappropriate behavior by Rev. Robinson was received (I’m assuming today, but they didn’t say) by the House of Deputies. I love how this comes at the last second. I get the feeling that the conservatives are going to drag this out as long as humanly possible.
Sorry, I know the two topics are on the whole, unrelated, but I thought the thread title was strangely funny after the news I just heard (which isn’t even remotely funny).
Connected with that is the second allegation. Some years ago, Fr. Robinson helped found a website for GLBT youth, www.Outright.com . He hasn’t been affiliated with them for some time, having quite other responsibilities in his job with the diocese. However, so the story goes, the website did recently have links to porn sites, which are conveniently no longer there, in case anybody wanted to investigate exactly what people consider objectionable.
What’s your take on this, Polycarp?. I saw the stuff about the website on CNN at the gym after I left work. Do you think there’s anything to either one?
I just find it odd that they waited until the day of the vote to throw these allegations out.

I think his point was it you just watch any old movies completely at random, you’ll probably see far more that you don’t like than you do like, and as a result you’d be likely to conclude that movies suck as a whole.
