52, what a harrowing ordeal with the children and dog running amok. Mom sounds like she’s got way too much on her plate. It’s lucky you and your neighbor were on the scene. Well done to you both.
Yeah, the feeling off thing for me is very rare. Nothing I could quite put my finger on, so no biggie since it cleared up fast. Ollie’s troubles were undoubtedly the cherry pits.
I’m glad you are there for Harry and that he’s staying put. ![]()
The SCA sounds like it was a blast – I might lose my mind over it if I had participated, too.
Do you have a date set for the surgery yet? If you’ve shared it, I missed that. I’m glad you’re going through with it, sorry for the lengthy recovery period. Do try to listen to your doc’s instructions, though. They usually know what they’re talking about. Usually. I look forward to more whining. ![]()
I know you do, and I can think of few more qualified to do so! I just like ribbing you a bit.
Enjoy the boxed lasagna and accompaniments!
Me, too. Whenever I get them. My friend got an unexpected-cancellation appointment with a doc she’s wanted to see yesterday, who honed right in on potential heart problems. Let’s just say she’s a little preoccupied, and I hate to bug her about the pics just now. Sooner or later, though…
Hope you enjoyed the soccer. I know you didn’t love the house-irk.
Your planned vacation sounds like a terrific Memory Lane tour! I hope you savor every moment. I had to give up roller coasters about 15 years ago when I went on one twice in a row and dislodged the crystals in my ears. I didn’t puke, but it was a close thing. May your own experience not include that unwelcome side effect!
Lily, squee on the feline overladies! They look so healthy and happy! No surprise at that.
And I hope the new treadmill suits!

You’ll probably be able to find it on one of your streaming services. If not, I have another suggestion: This one is a police procedural drama set in Denmark called The Investigation. Again, subtitled. This one is fascinating, if you like this sort of thing. It involves some pretty cutting edge procedural approaches – including boats and dogs! It’s a bit of a slow starter, but if you hang with it, it gets very engaging. I found this one on HBO/Max.
I’m so glad you had a dinner that knocked your socks off! Now I’ve got ribs on the brain…
Glad you survived the power outage, knots!
FCM, you are a machine! I am sure you will be well rewarded for your efforts, if you can keep Otis out of the beds.
Gorgeous sunrise pic, mollie! Please keep them coming! I’m with you on the people who can’t live without watching their phone screens. I barely remember to take mine with me when I leave the house. And now I’m on the BooFae Scottish weather report train, too.
rocker, I don’t envy your current living situation. Poor city planning really can affect people’s daily lives and mental health. Remember to breathe.
Personally, I’m glad you made your escape. Spot would have been insufferable if you’d gotten home late. ![]()
Good luck with the purge, nut. Those are just the most stressful circumstances. And I hope you remain unscathed.
shoe, your mother is indeed playing with fire, treating you poorly. Here’s an article you might be interested in:

Glad you enjoyed your ride with Jake, wet one!
Another hot (for here day today, high around 87F. I got up early and did outdoor tasks such as washing the bird crap off the mirrors on my car where the deranged bird likes to perch while he plans his assaults on my sliding glass door. I moved the car in hope of discouraging this ongoing behavior.
Ollie had a nail trim scheduled, so off we went to do that. Came home and figured we’d done enough for one day off the reservation. I took a walk with Ollie before it got too hot, then I did a bit more sorting in the spare room and some cleaning tasks that were overdue.
Breakfast was a homemade sesame seed bagel with cream cheese (not homemade, but maybe JtC will share her process?) and home-smoked salmon. Some chunked cantaloupe alongside. Dinner will be homemade pizza with pesto, chicken, mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. I hate to heat up the house with the oven, but it will be brief.
May your evenings all be chill and relaxed!
