Merry Month of May in the MMP!

OK, now who has the song stuck in their head?

Happy May and Happy Moanday!!

First! It’s good to be juvenile!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and already caffeinated, so no YAWN ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin out and cloudy/rainyish out, with a predicted high of 78 with rain this mornin’ and N.O.S. this afternoon. Mom’s committal is this mornin’ at ten. Thus it could be rainy just like any graveside in every movie ever.

Happy Moonday!

Happy May!

May is my favorite month, everything is fresh, green, and new.

It’s a cool and cloudy 56 degrees outside.

Trip to the college today for his final final exam. We were supposed to go yesterday but dog happens.

He (the dog) is up and perky this morning. He finally started drinking last night, and he has been drinking quite a bit this morning, and ate a mess of treats.
I’m going to get some chicken and rice to make for him, and I’ll try a few jars of baby food to hide his pills in. The brat is still pretty good at swallowing food and then spitting out his pill.
I’m debating going to get groceries today or tomorrow. It’s hard to plan things right now.
I’ve been up since 3:30, so I am not so perky. I hurt all over when I don’t get enough sleep.
The cat is being a pest, as he is every morning, because he wants treats! I told him when this jar is gone that is it, he isn’t getting anymore. I mean it this time.

I’m going to lay back down for a bit.
I need some more sleep.

Came to work to an email from payroll - my raise wasn’t nearly as huge as I’d thought. My pay was way up because they gave me back pay for the raise. Still, 4% ain’t nothing to sneeze at. And the next payday will be the first with my reduced hours - I’ll be able to adjust my budget when I see exactly how much I’ll be getting.

Meanwhile, still lots of stuff on my desk, so busy day ahead and stormage promised later. Good times!

Don’t know that song and Don Juana know it. I did watch the Disney *Alice in Wonderland *yesterday so I have another earworm: Painting the Roses Red.

I had a dream about **TICKS **last night.

Happy May! Yay, spring!

Sis and I are now all purtified and about to do some snausage 'n bizkits for brekkies. We figure we better eat sump’n. 'Tis rainy out but not nearly as apocalyptic as TWPTB predicted.

Goin’ back to last week’s MMP, I have to say there is no shame in mournin’ the death of a beloved pet or bein’ worried when a pet is sick. True it’s been tough dealin’ with the death of my mom, but I don’t think it’s silly at all to be upset over the loss of a pet. They do worm their little way into our hearts and become wonderful companions and even friends.

BigKitty for your listenin’ pleasure. You’re welcome!

Happy Moanday Y’all!

listens to first line
turns up the Nick Cave to blast it out of brain

In the merry merry month of May…

May is my birth month, but I always wanted June so pearls would be my birthstone. But I won’t object to emerald earrings. May is a happy month. The earth is coming back to life.

Just realized I goofed on the thread title. The song I was thinking about is The Lusty Month of May from Camelot. I think I can be forgiven for not having lust on the mind in the office.

Been productive this morning, and I shall add to that productivity following this brief brain break!

Blurf.

It’s easy to remember my fiend’s anniversary is today. May Day is International Worker’s Day.
It’s also a distress call. Nuff said! :o

Hi y’all. Hiya all. Hiy’all.

I returned on Sunday from a weekend at music camp with my wind band. Much fun was had.

Yes, I play in a wind band. With wind instruments. Insert fart joke here.

I’ve spent the last couple of hours spreading BS speak over my resume. Hopefully it will sprout beautiful new job flowers.

Fart jokes? Surely the MMP is far to classy for fart jokes…

Lunch break. I’m getting stuff done despite a serious lack of motivation. Four more hours to go, not that I’m counting. But I’m counting…

Afternoon all.

As part of ye Great Move, I’m trying to have a clear out, so I’m going to try do a car boot sale stall , so went scouting out a local one (this being a bank holiday). It did occur to me that deliberately going to look round places selling junk as a part of a plan to have less junk wasn’t quite thought through, but I managed to get away without buying anything.

I was planning on spending the afternoon at the allotment, but just after I got back it started with thunder, lightning, torrential rain, the works, so I’m stuck in instead. I should be sorting through things and deciding what to keep and sell, but every time I try it ends with me playing with Lego…

Down here Spring was two months ago. It’s Summer now, and will be until at least mid-September.

I am not clicking on that. inserts fingers in ears La, la, la!

Mine is November. I always thought it was unfair that I got topaz. It seemed like such as drab stone compared to all the others.

Back when I went to Renaissance Faires with regularity there was a gentleman who performed with a sort of drum that also made an odd noise when he pulled on the top of it. We referred to it as the “fart drum”.

Well, here we still have tulips and the odd bit of snow, although not quite to the valley floor anymore. I’m sure it will be Spring. Any day now. Soon. Right around the corner.

I brushed the Newfie. I got one leg done. The trash can is full. It took about an hour. Oy. Horses are easier. No. Really. Horses are easier. I hope to be finished by the end of the week. :smack: Then he’ll have his Summer doo and we’ll try and keep him comfortable for the next several months.

'Beamer is off to school today having agreed to actually do his work. I let him know I would actually be confirming this with his teachers. Any deviation and he loses his electronics and the internet again . He thinks we are giant meany-pants. “Why do we care so much if he does his schoolwork? Why does it matter?” The thing is that an autistic person can argue their point of view forever. If they were immortal, the planet could crumble around them, and they would still be arguing. It’s very, very hard to step away from that sometimes. I still get sucked into it, because you think you can convince them. You can’t. So, it’s state your position and then say, “I’ve already told you” and leave it.

Tomorrow is 'Beamer’s birthday and my 25th wedding anniversary. Must go out and get him a few presents. The real celebration will come later when my MiL arrives at the end of the week. sobs

Glad Sah-dog is doing better Sari.

I hope that the interment stays relatively dry Swampy.

Howdy Y’all! Mom’s interment was rainy but at least not stormy. After that sis, her daughter and I did what one traditionally does and scoped out a Dollar Tree that’s havin’ a grand openin’. I bought a buncha different kinds of dark and milk chawklit which is now residin’ in a bowl on the dinin’ room table. It’s open chawklit season! Also the rain is gone and the sun is peekin’ out.

Poppyseed chikin and baked cabbage for dindin cause even though we are scarfin’ chawklit, we still pretend to be grownups.

LOL okay just as I was getting ready to type I heard a crunch and the cat just fell off his bench.

Dumb ass cat, he’s lucky I haven’t killed him yet when he does his run in front of me, lay down, and roll over trick.

Back from the college. He doesn’t know how he did since it was part multiple choice and part essay.

It was a beautiful day to sit in the parking lot and wait for him, not too hot, very breezy, and I parked so the sun was hitting the passenger seat instead of me. And even better, this time I didn’t have two smokers sitting in the car two spots down with cigarettes hanging out the window the entire time. I wonder if the no smoking on campus rules include the parking lot?

Now it looks like it is going to storm any minute.
Makes Sah-son happy because, if you can believe it, the front yard needs to be mowed again. It’s not even been a week.

The dog is doing really well today. Eating and drinking and pissing up a storm. He came and got me this morning, his tail was wagging away. The reason it’s such a big deal when he wags his tail is that he almost never wags his tail. Never has, even as a pup. The only times I can remember him wagging is when I would come home and he’d come to the door happy to see me. He never whined and cried and jumped on me, just rush over with a wagging tail, get a few pats, and he was done. He’s walking around more and breathing easier, and even his belly looks a little less bloated. I got him some chicken nuggets on the way home, I think he’ll like that. Maybe. You never know with him.

Anyway, I am home, school is over, I feel like some of the stress is gone. We’ll get groceries tomorrow and we are done going out for a while. Now I can concentrate on getting some other things done. We’ll have to go down to the armpit for our birthdays in a few weeks. I can worry about that later.
