Merry Month of May in the MMP!

Sari good news! That reminds me, I was going to suggest putting the pills in a small amount of ground hamburger. Just enough to cover the pill, like a mini-meatball. Mine usually just swallow it without noticing there’s anything inside. Of course, mine are kinda dumb. I’m glad he’s feeling better.

Sari, glad both -son and -dog are doing well. Hope you can get a little peace now and then.

Midget, would love to hear your wind band…as long as I’m downwind (hey, had to get at least one joke in).

BigKitty, hope you piled it on your resume good and it bears fruit.

Made a Oscar Meyer run today and also allowed my new car to stretch it’s legs. Ran the gas down low and covered over 550 miles, with an average of 24.2MPG, so given my usual usage, I’ll be buying gas about once a month.

FCM, you spoke of music, heard the worse cover ever on Sirius XM: Gordon Lightfoot doing “Me and Bobby McGhee”. Let’s just say ol’Gordo needs to stick to ballads…

I stopped for groceries on the way home, planning a nice supper, and **FCD **doesn’t feel like eating. I chopped up the eggs I boiled yesterday and we’ll have egg salad whenever.

So tomorrow or the next day, we’ll have the ham and cabbage I picked up today. One less thing to think about.

**MetalMouse **- I have the album with Gordon singing that song. I didn’t think it was that awful a rendition, tho he’s not one of my favorite singers. He’s no Micky Dolenz, I tell ya!

No one should record “Me and Bobby McGee” unless their name is Janis Joplin and they drive a car that looks like this.

metal mouse, GL always tended to do better performing material that he himself wrote.

emily, you’ll have to give us a link to your [del]fart[/del] wind band.

big kitty, may the fertilizer on your resume give you a good crop yield.

It’s windy as heck here. Out on the interstate, I thought that my little car was going to be blown off the road.

I went to the PCP for soem follow up labs this morning, then on to the retinopathist for the six month check up (eyes are doing well, so no treatment required today). I got home early enough to throw a load of laundry in that’s almost done drying now and vaccuum.

Sorry — your earworm died on me.

Well, I got home from vacation, went straight into work, and am now home and playing catch-up. The good news is we had a great time; the bad news is I still have all my fingers and toes.
Wellllllllll, ya gotta admit ---------------- if I didn’t it would make one Helluva Mumper-post.

I worked, came home, napped. Watching hockey. Got chipolte BBQ chicken cooking with ancho rice and green beans with bacon and red pepper flakes.

FCD will be disapointed ,then. :(;):stuck_out_tongue:

Or this.

Happy Spring, PatPat!

So do you play all your music in B Flat(ulance)?

True that, Ruble.

Typing with how many fingers?

Blurf. We are waiting for thunderboomers and maybe serious rain. The window is open so the fuzzbutts (and us) can get some fresh air and look at something different for a while.

I spent three days in training to be a Red Cross Certified First Aid Instructor. I am not only an expert in performing CPR and first aid, I can teach it.

We started spring cleaning tonight. Now that we’ve been here almost a year, and now that my foot is pretty well healed, there’s no reason not to. A couple of rooms will be painted, we’re going to fix the balcony up for the cats, and we’re going to re-arrange the furniture here and there and make it Our Home.

Oh swampy, I’m so sorry, I haven’t been following the MMP as I should and it was just now, when I read your first post, about “Mom’s committal” that I realized she had passed away.

Forgive me for not saying something sooner. And thank you for what you said about grieving for pets. You know what really bothers me? It’s that I don’t know their fate when they die. I know what will happen, on way or another, to human beings, there’s a soul, an afterlife, and for folks like you swampy, and the other believers we know, we will be with God forever. But doesn’t a beloved pet deserve some happiness too? For all the love they give and what they put up with? Nobody can tell me my dog didn’t have consciousness, and a heart that loved me as much as I loved him…

I hope you and the rest of your family get things settled without too much hassle. I dread the experience of being the executrix for my mom.

I’ll pray for your family. Get some sleep, and eat all the food folks bring, you are going to need your strength.

Also, Sari, I’m rooting for you and your dog. I’ll put in a prayer for both of you.

Cupcakes I refuse to believe that a loving God will fail to recognize the loving and wonderful souls of animals. Never fear that you will not see your faithful companions again. I know it at my core. I have Faith in this.

Considering right now I basically use four fingers and sometimes the odd thumb --------

(Yeah – I’m self taught. And watching me, even though I have some speed and a good accuracy rate, drives my professional secretary wife totally bonkers.)
Hugs out to Swampy from us as well. I didn’t read all the backlog yet so I caught it from Bakers post.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Short day today. Gonna see Stepahn Pastis after work. Maybe he uses a coaster this time(He apparently didn’t at Mooommm!'s sisters pub last night.)

I opened my email at work and there’s an urgent request for drawings of an item that, I swear, you can just buy at Lowe’s. OK, I haven’t done any dimensioning, so it may be ridiculously large or something, but honestly, it looks like a huge waste of time to build something that I’m sure they can just buy!

But it’s not my job to make such decisions. I just need to make purdy pictures… Whatever.

We had rain overnight, and they’re promising us a bunch on Friday. Naturally. I wanted to work in my yard on Friday. Stoopit rain.

It’s so hard being me… <wailing and moaning and gnashing of teeth>

How’s that for a dramatic statement?

Happy Tuesday!

Blurf. Even bigger blurf because I forgot about yesterday being Monday…it being a public holiday over here in honour of the arrival of May

I’s tired today, did not sleep well as today is the start of exams which go on until early June so it’s a very busy time in the office. We have lots of individual exams for our very special students and that generates even more stress for me 'cos I do all the organising for that.

As usual, we’ve had one student fail to turn up and he’s a wheelchair user so we are quite concerned about him, I’m getting all sorts of people involved in that one. I hope the rest of the exams go a bit smoother otherwise I’ll be a quivering wreck by the end!

Hope everyone else is having a better week!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 46 (BRRR!) Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 82 and N.O.S. for the day. Youngest niece (sis’s daughter) and I are plannin’ a trip through the wilds of Heard County, Jawja today. She wants me to show her where various relations on mom’s side of the family are planted. Or we may not. She may or may not motivate to do so.

Yestiddy, sis, youngest niece, and I took two leafs out of the biiiiiiiiiig dinin’ room table to shorten it down to a six seater. Looks good that way. Mom would never do that. I made room in a storage closet in the hall for both leafs. We also worked on de-clutterin’ some stuff in the dinin’ room. Gotta say it looks a whole lot better.

CupCakes thanks. FWIW I believe we will see and be with all our critters.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Purtification will then occur and then onward into the day.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Jealous, party of me.

I had to limp painfully to the bathroom this morning because my right heel is killing me. After a check on Dr. Google it looks like I might have a touch of the plantar fasciitis. Guess I’ll be bumming around with no walks for a while until it heals (heels?) :frowning:

Yes, I am early today. Laundry to catch up on.

Baker, all animals go to Heaven. That I am sure of. Even the Pope said it. Animals have souls. So don"t be concerned about Nathan. He’s with all our lovies, free of pain and enjoying grass and sunshine.
