Our standard is 3% which I was able to get for my employees that deserved it but I have not had my eval because boss is too busy  falling in love and marrying his ex-employee. I am tempted to write my own eval and send it to him for his signature. I am really getting pissed about this. It is grievable with the union and I don’t want to do that but damn.
I say grieve away. If you deserve and are due a raise then they need to give it to you and promptly.
Happy Toosday!
It’s a beautiful breezy N.O.S. day today. A little chilly to sit outside in shorts and a T-shirt, so I was watching the dog through the door. Sah-son is trying to get him in so we can go get groceries. I tried and the little brat tried to bite me. He really wants to stay outside, not his normal behavior, but whatever makes him happy.
Now that he is up, he can watch the dog while I go shower and get dressed.
Thank you Baker for the prayer.
Good idea** Sunny** with putting the pills in ground beef.
The nuggets were a big hit with him. He’ll eat them when he won’t eat anything else.
Last Thursday I finally ordered my (first pair of prescription) glasses. She had to call me on Firday with pricing info & I finally finished the game of phone tag a little before they closed for the day/week. I asked approx how long until they were ready. She said depending upon whether they made them in house or sent them out it would be one to two weeks.
So of course Moanday morning I get a call that they’re done & waiting for me. :smack:
Today I went to pick them up. Since it’s boofital (but windy - winds 14mph, gusting to 29) out & I wanted to go for a walk anyway, I grabbed my phone & the checkbook, put them in my pocket & started to walk over. At some point, my phone chirped that I had a new email so I pulled it out to look at it. About a mile further along I realize that I don’t have my checkbook in my pocket.
I reverse direction & luckily found it sitting on the ground by the side of the road (no sidewalk there). I keep an emergency $20 in my checkbook. When I opened it up, all of the checks were there but the $20 wasn’t.
I look up & there it is, a few feet away in the weeds.
I’ll get my glasses another day as I don’t have time now.
Now here I sit just crying my eyes out.
this. Sorry I don’t know how to multi quote and don’t even care to know.
Ok all caught up now. I am not familiar with the song in the OP but refuse to listen to the link.
Glad Mackie is betterSari. Been thinking about y’all and am relieved. I am happy to report that my Louie is better too. I found his meds and dosed him yesterday and last night he even did that zoom thing and played so I shant let his meds get missed.
I am a September baby which is Sapphire but would rather pearls or emeralds. Not a jewelry type though.
We are officially now hooked up to the sewer and the septic tank was emptied and crushed and filled in. Hubby texted it looks good. As good as a pea rock yard can.
i just got an amber alert on my phone which makes a much different noise than regular. Phone was in the bottom of my purse and I thought it was catching on fire or something. I was skeered for a moment. Anyway someone took a 5 yo girl while driving a blue Scion even with tag number supplied.
Sario Do you have a nick? Where is down here? Boss came by to sign a bunch of stuff for me and we chatted and I asked about my eval. He promised it next week. We shall see. I feel sure I will get a raise and it should be retro but it won’t be. If I don’t deserve a raise (and I do) then give me an eval that says I suck.
Have a great evening all.
Sha-dog has been upgraded. He is now solar powered.
Yesterday’s supper will be consumed today - ham-n-cabbage and fresh pineapple chunk and instant smashed N.O.T.s because that’s what my sweetie requested. Higgs got the bone from the ham steak, so she’s a happy puppy.
It’s breezy and cooler than the last couple of days, and tonight we’re supposed to get 50s - YAY!
That’s pretty much all that’s happening here for now.
Here’s what I was thinking about when I started this thread, but I got the words wrong…
I thought it was a reference to the old song that goes, “I was strolling through the park one day, in the merry, merry month of May.”
When I got home this afternoon, the back yard was all mowed and trimmed, the mower and weed whacker were put away, the shed was locked, the storm door was upright against the house, and the yard looked almost presentable. (We still have some more stuff that has to go bye-bye, but that’ll happen as the week progresses.) I was suitably impressed.
A couple of windows are open, so there’s some nice cross-ventilation going on. The cats are loving the change of scenery and the breeze. They line up and take turns.
Between my regular work stuff and my lunchtime walk, I clocked almost 16,000 steps today. My feet hurt.
Leftovers for dindin tonight. I can’t manage much more.
baker, methinks St. Francis of Asissi would give the critters a wink and open doggie door.
I was born in January, so my stone is garnet. I have a silver filgaree and garnet ring that my late sweetie bought for me that I wear almost every day. I also have an antique gold and garnet ring that was passed down from my grandmother whose birthday was the day after mine.
It was a slow day at irk. It’s cold enough that I actually turned the heat on last night. Today was warmer, so I just broke out the winter round-the -house clothes and turned it off.
On the garden front, all of the 'mater plants now have fruit, with some of them having two. The red bell pepper plants have buds and the seranos are blooming.
I’m a January baby, too, and I have a couple of garnet rings somewhere. I also have a garnet bracelet and necklace - not matching, tho. But I don’t wear jewelry, so they’re all in the mess that is my jewelry box.
lol I’ll take whatever power he can get to keep going.
We finally got him in, he didn’t like it, but it had to be done. Groceries gotten and mostly put away. Yard’s been whacked.
Cultural Anthropology professor finally graded the paper and he has an A for the class.
Biotech professor finally started grading assignments and it looks like he’ll have an A in that class.
How can it be heaven if there are no dogs?

I’m glad Louie is feeling better Butters
Today is 'Beamer’s birthday. We baked 4 batches of brownies last night and he took them to school. He said they were a big hit.
It’s also my 25th wedding anniversary. Breaking with tradition, hubby got me a present. I shall have to think of something good to reciprocate.
Happy Toesday everyone!
Swampy and some others have been know to call me Rio. Down here is the bayous of Louisiana, specifically a little outside of New Orleans.
Well, I missed because I had to work late.
Happy Birthday Beemer!!!
Happy Anniversary, Sunny and Hubby!
Went to the Oregon Symphony last night. It was a pops concert with Patti Austin as the guest singer. It was really good, except they needed to turn up Patti’s mic a bit, or the orchestra needed to show a little less enthusiasm.
Jambalaya is cookin on the stove.
If there is a heaven, then for sure our furry little brothers and sisters will be there, otherwise it won’t be much of a heaven.
