Just yelled at the cat, damn he pisses me off. He has a gazillion toys around here and he won’t leave the clips on the blinds alone. I yelled at him and he totally ignored me, then when he realized I was talking to him, he came over for loving. Really Cat?
Time to pull out the spray bottle.
Adam’s been going outside, he got out because we are going in and out so much with the dog. He’s a big wussy out there, scared of everything.
However, because of him I found out we have a pair of redbirds out back, and they do everything they can to distract him from going towards their nest - where ever it is. I’m not sure exactly what kind of birds they are, they look like cardinals only smaller, and they have orange beaks. They are noisy when Adam goes outside.
I wouldn’t mind letting him go outside when I go out except for I know he will get bolder and bolder and not stick so close.
Also, I don’t want him and the grey cat to get into a fight. Today I didn’t see the grey cat and he was pretty close to the house. When Adam went out the grey cat took off running.
BigKitty My friend has plantar fasciitis, very painful. She has to wear the right kind of shoes and for a while she had to wear a brace when she went to bed. She had to soak her foot too, but I forget the sequence of hot and cold water.
I hope it doesn’t get that bad for you.
Big Kitty, Ouch! Hope your feets start to feel better soon.
Butters, keep tabs on bosses who say things like ‘next week’. Hold his/her feet to the fire and document, and grieve if you have to.
Spidey, you must be Irish (as in, “luck of the”).
Rockin’, 16,000 steps!?!?! Hope you have a comfortable pair of shoes.
Sunny, Happy B-day to Beamer and happy Anniversary to you.
Not much here today, picked up a few grocery items I missed last night, napped a bit and then coached the girl’s soccer team. Now in lazy mode until bedtime.
I’ve worn glasses since before I turned 4. The real milestone comes when that optometrist looks you square in the face and uses the “bi word”.
bifocals
The first steps after being off of it for some time (like during sleep) are the worst. Stretching it & walking (on smooth surfaces - no uneven trails) is good. Possibly a sleeve for it. Bad cases require a boot for sleeping, somewhat similar to a walking cast.
You’re gettin’ into my neighborhood.
25th gift is silver; didja get foil…or a pre 1964 quarter?
I spent almost 6 hrs outside today. Some of the Greens was having sex…outside (well, that’s where they reside), lots of big sneezes. Took close to 500 pics & probably an hourish of video (haven’t downloaded that yet). Lots to edit, upload & share.
I got reading glasses. When I went to the eye doc he said I was able to hold off longer than most people because I is tall. ::head cocked to the side:: Whatcha talkin’ bout Willis?
He then holds a piece of paper out at arms length & says, “longer arms”. :smack:
I literally started needing glasses when i turned 40. Like overnight. I just got new eyes since 5 yrs tween appts and the script had not changed too much. Glad you found your checkbook and cash Spidey
My oldest sister Betty has a weird eye disease that is hereditary where her eyes cannot stay open. Can’t remember the name of it but she gets botox and is legally blind due to the inability to raise her eyelids. So i try to keep a check on that not that there is any cure except death. FYI my sister Betty is old enough to be my parent so no sping chicken. She had two careers; first as an investment banker and second as an RN at the State mental hospital. She will tell you she “loved her crazy people”. She is pretty cheap too and has done well financially. She earned every cent. I inherited a propensity for weird eye diseases and brain aneurysm. My other sister has narcolepsy confirmed and is crazier than a lunybug but she is my best sister. I guess as the baby of the family I am the only somewhat normal one which is not saying much. Thus the Butters family history lesson for today. Will have to try to find the name of the eye disease. It’s very rare
It rained which pleases me. Our sewer is functional and old septic tank crushed and filled in. Yard seems bigger. All done except the final inspection by code enforcement but we good.
My baby dog is still feeling good Thank You Jesus. Hope Sah dog continues to improve
sunny. How cool that you had a baby on your anniversary. My husband and his twin brother had the same birthday. I made a joke.
Taz is back on The List. **FCD **got into bed before me and asked “Does this feel damp to you?” Damned cat peed on my pillows and the sheet that was covering them. So we were stripping the bed last night and I had to grab the pillows from the guest room. We will now be keeping our bedroom locked during the day. Ziva won’t be happy - she likes to sleep under my side of the bed. Too bad.
They go to the vet on Firday - I’ll be asking about the peeing. Damned cat.
Then, about 3:30 this morning, Taz was jumping on the door trying to get it. I’ve been up since then. I expect exhaustion to hit before too long. Damned cat.
And on top of all of that, my pants are barely staying on! A few months ago, I decided to back way off on my snacking habits. I almost never eat in the evenings now, or if I do, it’s fruit. And altho I don’t know exactly what I weighed when I started this, I know I’ve dropped something over 15#, so yay! I’d like to put up with baggy britches till I’m down 2 sizes so I don’t spend too much on interim pants. We shall see how that goes. And it turns out that fruit is almost as good a snack as ice cream! Go figure!!
**Sahirrnee **, two reasons to keep Adam inside: Fleas and ticks. Nuf said.
We have a new cat toy; the cap from the pen needles. They roll funny, so she yells at them. Just what I need at 0600 when I wake up with a sugar of 52.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 53 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 86 and N.O.S. for the day. The big plan is to go through stuff in mom’s room. She has drawers full of pictures and mementos we need to sort through. The bed, oxygen thingy, and wheelchair were picked up yestiddy so we have room to move around.
Niece and I took a ride up to Heard County yestiddy afternoon. I showed her two cemetaries, houses or the remains thereof where various relations lived, and the little town where mom was born. I told her that any ol’ uncle could take her out for ice cream, but it takes a special uncle to take her to see cemetaries and old run down, broken down houses.
I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then purtification must occur and onward into the day!
