I’ve come across a few bugs, but an unlocked airport showing back up as new isn’t one of them.
Just caught this old bird as it flew over my head a few mins ago. XA-UQT. One of the few DC-9-30s left, possibly the oldest flying.
Any chance you unlocked it on Sunday before it reset it for the week?
Has anyone seen this before? I googled a bit and it listed other airports with 1 or 2 tasks, but those all require 6 now. Even KYA requires 6 for me this week.
Just curious if there are some randomly easier per week.
I think it’s random chance that an airport will be unlockable with only 2 tasks in any given week… I once had that happen to me somewhere within range of London Heathrow—the only time I’ve seen it! That was a good week.
I think I used unlocked incorrectly. I had captured a plane with LGA as the destination the first day I played and the little info card had “New” above the destination. And then a few days later, it started showing “New” above planes with LGA as the destination and the airport kept showing greyed out. So I’d catch the flight and then the next day it was reset again.
I haven’t noticed it today.
My mistake, you used the term correctly. I was thinking you meant you completed the weekly tasks for an airport. Sounds like you did indeed see a bug.
I was incorrect about this as well. There is a 1 hour cooldown timer before you can catch again. I was able to catch my own flight twice – once at the beginning and once at the end.
I buckled down and got the Polar Bear trophy; nearly all were in Norway for me, as they seemed to have the most flights and easiest to progress north.

I’m not sure if flights to the Faulkland Islands are rare. There is a plane headed there now just east of South America.
I just caught that A330, thanks for the tip! I had to burn a Catch Anywhere since it was quite far from the coast.
I also just picked up the Castle trophy for European flag carriers; Atlantic Airlines and the Belarus one were my last two.
Once a week, I think. Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I was looking for something else, and stumbled across a plane to the Falklands in the middle of the Atlantic. I’m trying to get more countries without spending my Catch Anywere tickets, but I used one for that.
Had a slow week last week, but I did get Yemen and Central African Republic. This week I already have Istanbul and Singapore. The tasks for Singapore included catching two international flights. It’s Singapore; I don’t think they ever have domestic flights.
Did someone here describe a bug where they completed the tasks for an airport, but didn’t get the free travel for it? I thought that happened to me tonight. I was sure I completed the tasks for one of the airports in Singapore, but when I went back it wasn’t showing the green check mark for a free airport. I thought “hmm, maybe I missed one”, so I clicked on the airport. As soon as I did that, the check mark appeared and I could travel there for free.
@liirogue had a problem where they caught a flight to an airport, but the airport remained locked. I think it happened a couple of times to them.
I see your behavior every time. The green check mark never appears until I click on the airport after completing all the weekly tasks. I don’t know if it would appear if I killed the app and restarted it. I’ve never thought to check the list in the profile, but I will next time.
When you click on an aircraft and get the green Catch button, there are a set of blue left and right arrows that cycle through the nearby aircraft.
Has this always been there and I didn’t notice it? Or is it new?
The game was last updated on 21st August.
I think I remember noticing those arrows about a week ago so that seems right.

Does anyone know if there is a bug around catching Scarce / Yellow ultralight aircraft? I believe I’ve caught this several times, but it remains unchecked for me.
Just a heads up - The Cleveland National Airshow is this weekend at Burke Lakefront Airport (KBKL). Might see some interesting activity there all this week. I know Blue Angel #7 just arrived for pre-airshow press, I missed it by a few mins 
Yeah that happened several times but now the airport is finally showing as unlocked and has remained so.
I figured out how to load ten pictures into your camera.
- Exhaust your current stock of pictures.
- Click on the “Number of Pictures” icon at the top of the screen. It will be set to zero, with a timer telling you how long until the next handout, and giving you options to watch ads or buy pictures or unlimited picture time periods for coins.
- Sit there and wait until your camera fill up with five pictures.
- While you’re still on this screen, purchase five pictures. This will (temporarily) give you a camera with ten pictures.
Also… I actually beat Olifly in a battle last week!

There was supposed to be a 5:45 flight from Istanbul to Manas. I could see the tracking of it on flightaware, but it never showed up in the game. I caught the 6:15 to Ashgabat with no problems. Kyrgyzstan, why can’t you be more like Turkmenistan?
Also got Central African Republic today. Could have had three new countries in one evening, but it was not to be. Why, Kyrgyzstan, why!?
