I missed the Stratolaunch, but appreciate you posting about it. I’ll keep an eye out for it the next few days.
You might want to double check that. I had only 2 countries left for the Globetrotter trophy. Now I need 6; Antarctica, and United States Minor Outlying Islands (same as before), plus Åland, Christmas Island, Norfolk Island, Svalbard and Jan Mayen. Those (and maybe others) must have been added with a recent update.
Strangely though, I’m not seeing the new trophies that were mentioned upthread. I still think a Cabin Pressure trophy would be fun.
ETA: the Long Hauler trophy might have changed, too, or there’s a bug in the app. I was at least one flight short of completing that, and now I have all 10. I think there was a Perth-to-London flight that has not been operating since the Iran war broke out. I now have a green check mark for that; very odd.
You’re right. I wondered by Christmas Island wasn’t included. I’m actually glad there are some new ones – a few more to do before Antarctic flights start up.
I don’t have a checkmark for London / Perth; maybe you caught it somehow?
I didn’t see them at first either until I did the update in Google Play Store. Maybe double-check that.
I hadn’t thought to check Globetrotter before the update. It seems possible that you could get additions to existing trophies without a software update.
I also do not have a checkmark for that flight - you may have caught it by accident?
And several people on Reddit have said they had to manually choose to update the app in the play store, it wasn’t doing it automatically.
And speaking of the Stratolaunch, someone on Reddit posted a video of it doing a touch-and-go yesterday. What an utterly bizarre plane - it just doesn’t look like it should work. I can’t imagine what trying to land it is like.
Sure thing. London is great because there are tons of interesting planes and, like NYC, constant blue skies.
I managed to catch Christmas Island last night. Although it’s easier to catch Sunday night (US time); since it travels from Perth there is 3-4 hours to catch it. Now I have everything for Globetrotter except Antarctica.
I’ve been playing this a while now. Right before they adjusted the way the rarity is calculated I got the last orange aircraft, so at that point the only new cards I could get were red ultra-rares. I got the Rare Master trophy. Then all of a sudden I had like 6 more rare craft to find. I still had the trophy, but 6-ish craft that had been red became orange.
I eventually found all of those, too, to legitimize my trophy again, but it can happen when they add stuff I guess. Just tonight I caught a flight to Wallis, and I thought that by completing Wallis and Futuna that I just needed Wake Island. Wrong, I’ve now got 9 total territories to find for the Globetrotter trophy!
I’ll have to figure out how you did that. I’ve been stuck at around a dozen rare aircraft left for quite a while. I think I’ve only found one new rare aircraft in the last six weeks or so.
I was down to only two countries left, and then the update happened and now I need six. I haven’t had the time to figure out when to catch flights to those new destinations. Lately I’ve just been trying to rack up points to get to level 30; only 20,000,000 to go.
Thanks! I also tried but couldn’t time it right. Real life has really been in the way this week!
There was also supposed to be an air show yesterday a couple of towns over. Either most of the planes didn’t turn on their transponders, or it was a bust - the few I did see flying in the area are all local and not exciting.
