Holy cow, I can’t believe it!
My dad is the most practical guy I know. He doesn’t buy silly or frivolous things.
Until today.
He always joked that if I won the lottery, I should buy him a Segway. Well, the family had a business that just sold, and my dad decided to buy himself something extravagant and crazy. I guess he’d been thinking about it for the last couple of years, since his back and hip have been giving him grief. Even a quick walk downtown for dinner has him limping. But not anymore!
He’s at home charging it up right now. I’m gonna ride it tomorrow night. I can’t wait!

A helmet? We don’t need no stinking helmets!
Actually, you really don’t. It doesn’t tip over.
I can’t wait to try it. I think OpalCat got to try one out a while back. She said it was cool.
Make sure he never uses it in an ion storm!
… and the supermarket aisles just got a little more hazardous…
I thought they stopped making them?
Ahhh, but you see; I have no such anti-tip over guarantee written anywhere on me.
The only one I’ve seen was in downtown San Diego. Instantly, I wanted one almost as much as a Vespa.

For the love of god, make sure he didn’t get the kind they had on SouthPark!

I am sooooooooooo freaking jealous!!
I got to ride one of those a while back. They are so incredibly cool. Ask your dad if he’ll buy me one, too.
I keep seeing this one man in Midtown riding around on one, and I wish I had the guts to ask him for a spin.

I was in Disney World last week, the people who direct the parking lots use them - looks like fun.
OMG I misread this as My dad bought himself a Segway Human Transplant
I was getting seriously worried
Orange County Segway, eh?
Did he get one of those cool shirts ?

Didn’t our fearless leader fall off of one?
Does it balance itself when not in use?
That would be kind of freaky.
Only cause it wasn’t turned on. (Not that that makes it much better.)
Why not? Wouldn’t you just end up with 2 of them? Of course one would be the evil segway with a goatee but hey, free rides.
If you look closely at the picture posted above, you’ll see a little kick stand thing by the right wheel.
I want one to umpire games with!
