No, seriously. They just started offering service to NJ customers.
I’m going to be telling this to people ALL DAY. It’s pure comic gold.
Their gekko is kinda cute, but they can’t beat the rates I get thru AAA.
Are you always so easily amused? Silly person…
Why yes, I am easily amused. You have to have a sense of humor in life, or you’ll never get out alive.
I’m just impressed that he was able to afford car insurance in NJ. Is NJ any closer to lynching their current insurance commissioner and installing a competent individual?
You certain it’s not comic iron pyrite? :dubious:
Actually, they started selling to NJ back in September or October. Your dad could have been saving money all this time!
Ok, not so important.
Death to the Gecko!
Your dad must have been getting insurance from Louie The Icepick at his office in the corner booth at Bada Bing.
Every time some yahoo organization like Geiko promises to get me lower rates, and then I tell them my rates, they quickly end the conversation and hang up.
And to be honest, your dad is the first person I have ever heard of who actually got a better deal from Geiko. Not that I doubt what you are saying, it is just that with the price of insurance, most people call around on their own to get the lowest rate possible. Then if you are accident/ticket free over the years, that rate starts to look better and better.
At any rate, congrats for him!
Well, we used to have State Farm, if that helps the consideration any. I really don’t know anything at all about the car insurance situation in NJ save that companies were pulling out because they weren’t making money off us terrible, horrible, no-good NJ drivers.
Would living in a Tiny House help you any?
Or being a cave man?
That is really condescending.

I switched off of State Farm to Geico and saw my premium drop from 590 some-odd every six months to 463. They came through for me.
Which is probably exactly what my dad arranged. My dad is not a stupid person (he’s a certified CPA and very high up in a rather powerful Real Estate Investment Trust), and he would know if Geico was giving him a bum deal.
I switched to GEICO (technically it’s an acronym so should be all caps… I’m not (just) showing off, I really thought it was cool to learn that it was originally the Gov’t Employees’ Insurance Co. that I like putting it in all caps and then explaining the acronym if anyone asks.) last summer and also saved.
Previously, I’d had Travelers’ and I think my rate increased every other month. I was SOOOOO sick of that. GEICO has treated me well. But I’ve never had a claim so I don’t know how well they do that.
