Well it wasn’t that. It was an Encyclopedia Dramatica page that seemed to be doxxing someone and saying they were into the topic at hand. I didn’t stay on it for long and I didn’t investigate further. It was enough to see that it was something we didn’t want to be linked to. As long as the OP stays away from real names I’ll allow this to continue.
Agreed. That site seems at the best of times a bad parody of Internet Shaming Culture, at its worst it tries to be the PervertedJustice of sheer Hate. As its title reflects they are all about provoking drama.

I don’t know what this says about me but stumbling upon a page that tries to doxx one of my family members for something society considers repugnant – but which s/he had done discreetly and privately and had not been interfering with normal family/business life – that would, save for an extremely limited set of very specific things, primarily get me angry at the ones doing the doxxing.

Not having seen the page, so I can’t comment on whether or not it was okay to dox him. But considering that beastiality often involves animal abuse, there’s a good reason it’s considered repugnant, dude. Of course, once again, I haven’t seen the article.

He’s willfully putting himself in danger of legal action and implosion of his professional and family life? People who do this stuff normally go to every possible length to be anonymous and he’s putting up googleable links to himself?

On the linked page there is a picture of someone. It is labeled with a name. Possibly it is someone exposing a real person who is running such a site. Possibly it is someone trying to ruin the reputation of an innocent person. Given the nature of the site I wouldn’t even hazard a guess. If the OP is looking for answers instead of accusations he needs to look further.
