It would have been cool if the bride and groom vanished when they put their rings on.
They threw us out of the ballroom shortly after midnight. To announce the closing of the dancefloor, my elder daughter elfbabe’s hub took the mike, and in his best Gollum voice (which is very, very good) said “Leave now and never come back!”
So everyone moved to the lounge on the 23rd floor.
Pics will follow when I get my act together.
“You Thought you could escape ME…!? What are you going to do Now, wizard…?”
Elevator Button Push
“That’ll do it…”

Please tell us that the officiant, instead of “May I have the ring?”, said “What has it got in its pocketses?”
Congratulations to the groom, and best wishes to the bride.
Regards,
Shodan
Congratulations!
And please, pics!
2 Rings to bind them, may love forever find them.
Congrats to all .
Yay! Congratulations by the way, sounds like it was a day of days.
The guests were not early, nor were they late. They arrived precisely when they meant to.
QtM, I remember you as an authority on all things Tolkein but did not know it was genetic. Will the grandchildren learn Elvish in the crib?
Eagerly awaiting photos.
I’m a little miffed that I wasn’t invited, but congratulations anyhow!
Nai Eru Ilúvatar alyuva tet!
Ahem! I presume you meant to say, ‘The bride…’ ![]()
Very cool. I love it when couples really personalize their weddings with their interests

Congratulations to the happy couple and to you, Qadgop t/M. I must remind my daughter Arwen of how you all did things should she ever find a Numenorean who suits her…
Then how did you know that was in the vows?
Yeah, you and Ferret Herder should have made the cut, but a whole bunch of folks from Tirion would have had to have been left out. ![]()
You should also have invited Elendil’s Heir. He even talked about having scripture translated into elvish tongues.
I hope they served 1420 at the bar…
Hmm. My invitation must’ve gotten lost in the mail.
Congrats to you and the happy couple, Qadgop - it sounds like a wonderful occasion! I hope your toast included something about “Liking half of you half as much as you deserve…”
Congrats from this simple tradesman of Bree. Now will your new son-in-law post at least once as Faramir?
Confibialities!
I’m envisioning the wedding equivalent of the LOTR-themed New Zealand Air safety video.
