Wow, I get a lot of spam/scam emails from this address, since I came to their attention (a few months ago, I think). And all different kinds of content - window blinds, Expedia survey, Chase Bank survey, FedEx survey (I’m seeing a pattern here that I didn’t notice before), Fidelity Life insurance, an airline survey, a different life insurance company, M&Ms survey, and that’s all just this week. I’ve never replied to or clicked on one, the first one I got I marked as Spam.
Most of the spam I get has really obvious “from” info, long strings of random letters and so on, but this one looks reasonably business-like, the address is just “info@” the website.
My spam volume seriously ticked up a couple of weeks before Christmas and that’s my fault. I followed up on an “AT&T” notice to say that I no longer use AT&T and to take me off their list. Stupid me. I almost starting giving them personal phone info but stopped myself in time.
I am now very aware of how they take advantage of people and how older folks can lose their life savings to these asshats.
I gather, once I returned the call, they let all the other devil-spawn know that I was a hot prospect.
While we’re on the topic of spam, does it do any good to report to gmail on spam that comes from gmail addresses? I started doing this recently, but they make it rather time-consuming (as far as I know, you can’t just forward them the email so that the have to do the work). If it does some good, I’m willing to continue, but I would sure like some reassurance.
