I second yoghurt (I started the same thread a year ago and that was the best answer). It reduced the problems we had with our cocker spaniel pup considerably.
If his poop is normal (not runny or otherwise icky), go with the Beano idea. If he also has runny poop, take him to the vet.
My Bouncer dog had really bad gas, and really runny poop. Turned out he has a pancreatic enzyme deficiency and couldn’t digest his food properly. But it’s not that common, and probably not your dog’s problem.
