To get a job as a “Guest English Teacher” (and to keep it becuase the policy started while I was working as such) in South Korea, one had to have an apostilled diploma and certified transcripts. That meant up to half a year after graduation before one could even apply because while the transcripts are available immediately, there’s quite a lag on diploma issuance.
