My first emergency repair in the new house; a handy MMP

 And to think I used to like Cuervo.

Bad cat! Bad Bus Guy!

You don’t feed him live wormies, do you, 'Mika? 'Cause that kind of creeps me out. He is cute, though.

Nope. He didn’t like the live worms one bit. We did try them. He eats pinhead crickets - little tiny ones.

And worms don’t creep me out.

I’m with you on 2 of those 3(not a baseball fan ).
Maggie the wonderbeagle likes to hunt the little blue lizards around the apartment. Actually, hunt is too strong a word. She likes to stare at where the lizard was, while the lizard stands behind her and goes “Neener Neener!”. swampy, our lizards don’t fornicate in the open, they go behind closed doors like good god fearing lizards.

congrats to ivyboy! I got a 4 on a test once, I didn’t study.

It’s only the live worm feeding that gets me. Other than that, I’m fine.

Yay for ivyboy! Cute lil’ gecko there Mika maybe he wants pie and chips. After all who doesn’t like free pie and chips?

dog my lizards are kinda hippy, free love types. I think they were goin’ at it again right after I got home from work yesterday. This time they were behind the shades on the back porch but I could see their shadows. Figures I’d have shameless lizards don’t it.

Last night was Vestry meeting at the church. We discussed (at very long length) five different financing proposals for the new building. We have most of the money but will need to borrow some to complete construction. What a treat that was! We narrowed it down to three banks. The Senior and Junior Wardens were charged with the task of going back to those banks to see which one will give us the best deal. They will bring that back to the Vestry (in a called meeting, woohoo!) in two weeks for a final vote. The good news for me is I ain’t Senior or Junior Warden.

FCM here’s hoping the therapy works. I think you should talk 'em into giving you massages as part of the deal. Most PTs give good massages.

Nope. He doesn’t get home from his Grand Tour until next Monday. I wanted to call and tell him, but Ivylad says he probably hasn’t thought about it. Imagine, thinking about visiting the Tower of London and Stonehenge and the British Museum of History and the Thames instead of how one did on an AP exam? I swear, the kids of today…

Although, he did do an incredibly STUPID thing. His favorite thing was the Museum. He took lots of pictures. Then he was showing his digital camera to his aunt, and to show her the innards and bells and whistles…he took out the smart card.

:smack:

Seems that AOHell isn’t the only business with a Herpes Simplex business model (i. e. you can never be rid of it). Yesterday, VunderWife called the local newspaper to end our subscription.

“Mrs. Vunder, we wish you’d reconsider.”

“No, please cancel our subscription.”

“What can we do to keep you as a customer?”

“How about you start publishing and delivering in North Carolina?”

“Oh. [pregnant pause] You bought a house!”

Only if they’re not sadistic. Back between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I was getting PT for my left hip to try to increase the range of motion. I had a very cute massage therapist who would work on me, and unfortunately the area in question was uncomfortably close to the ol’ wedding tackle. I swear she would get me feeling good in the clinical sense, and then grab ahold of a big tendon on purpose, just to see me jump off the table and swing from the ceiling…

Just goes to show ya. Every job has its perks.

how is that a problem? unless there is something horribly wrong with the camera or card, he shouldn’t have lost any data. I take the card out all the time to pop it into the slot on my printer so I can get the pics onto the puter

The dig was so good, you had to do it twice? :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy Tuesday, y’all!

Cute lizard, Meeks! I want a snake, I think. A cute little constrictor of some sort.

Congrats to IvyBoy.

I am now a grand-aunt (or is it great-aunt?) for the 4th time. The first baby for this particular nephew. Linky to baby pics. He was 6 lb, 10.9 oz, and 19.25 inches long. Welcome to the family!

Awwwww Rebo what a lil’ cutie! Baby humanlets are almost as cute as newborn puppies. I say almost cause nuttin’ is cuter than newborn puppies.

Bobbio like I said before, it just goes to show ya. Every job has it’s perks. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll take one myself, if it eats cats…

Boooooo!!!

They had beautiful constricters at the reptile show. Actually, all kinds of snakes there, lovely and brightly-colored… The only ones I don’t like - and I don’t like them in any reptile - are the albinoes.

But it was a good time for all.

I’ve been furniture shopping. It’s both a scary and exciting prospect. We are in desperate need of a dining table for our nook, where we eat most of our meals. It has a lovely view, but we’re eating on a crappy kitchen table and folding chairs! We have found this glorious iron base that weighs about a half-ton, and the plan is to get a granite top for it. And chairs. So that’s three separate shopping expeditions right there.

Also, we have had our eye on this box Collingwood Box on Stand for more than a year. We don’t need it and it’s hideously expensive. But we want it anyway. It might go on sale at the end of the week. We already have an alcove planned around it; tell me it’s not coming home Friday night.

In other news, my mama is going on a three-week vacation tour of the west, on a bus. I am going to miss her. And I have to water her garden and houseplants while she’s gone. My SIL made her a going-away/birthday cake/brownie last night and DEAR GOD it was good. Topped with cream cheese mixed with pineapple, strawberries and blueberries. This recipe is going in my Permanent File.

Telperien, what’s going on with the job?

Today I think I’ll tidy up and read, and not do a whole lot. I’m kind of tired.
