This my be the most mundane and pointless thing ever posted here but one of the Venus Transit photos I shot the other day made on Flickr Explore.
This is the first time I made it on Explore so I’m a little chuffed.

Congratulations! I have a feeling that it’s becoming more difficult to get into Explore, based on my having had 14 pictures there between 2006 and 2008, but none since then. I don’t think it’s because my pictures are getting worse: it’s probably because there are more pictures uploaded to Flickr every day that are competing with each other.

Yeah, those are sunspots. After several years of no sunspots at all, they are a welcome sight (from a radio propagation perspective).

Yeah, my wife had a string of photos make it on there but none in the last few years. Some of them never dropped off. Mine dropped off later the same day.
