My friends are now parents

yikes! Did they feed the baby your post?

I guess so!

Let’s start again.

I have an online buddy in Minnesota. She tried to get pregnant for a coupla years and couldn’t. She and her husband are the whitest people on earth but they decided that they wanted a child so much that they did not care what race the baby was, or what kind of background he/she had, they just wanted to be parents.

So, through a series of events that had to be nothing but destiny, they ran across a birth mother, met her, they hit it off, and on June 14th he was born.

He’s black and the most perfect baby that has ever existed (except mine, of course)! Their whole family is completely thrilled, his great-grandfather cried the first time he saw him. The whole racial thing isn’t even an issue to them, nor should it be (but let’s face it, there are many couples out there who only want a baby of their own race). They are completely in love with this boy and now this little guy has wonderful parents, wants for nothing and has a bright future, all because the woman who birthed him was unselfish enough to let him go. (She’s going to be in the picture a bit, actually.) I admire her strength, I’m not sure I could do something like that.

Everything is perfect.

Anyhow, I’m just really happy for them and I thought I would share.

Well, Congratulations to them!

Hooray!

We need more couples like them, willing to love a child AND be blind to their race.
