My friend, with one kidney, is pregnant. With a baby.
Still sounds awkward!
A friend, who lost a kidney in a car crash several years ago, is spawning.
Grammar aside, what sort of pregnancy is she in for? I assume it’s going to be hard on her body, filtering all that extra blood with only one kidney. Is she at higher risk for miscarriage? Should we be nagging her to take it easy and stop drinking all that coffee?
Do a 24 hour urine collection at the beginning of pregnancy and at 32 weeks. Usual blood work and urine work up as each visit, as usual. No problems to be expected. She might have more pain from stretching around the surgical scaring but that’s not for sure.
She might consider dropping her coffee and cola consumption to less than 4 cups per day.
