I’m impressed…and really like them.
Very cool
That’s what I was going to say, almost word for word. Keep it up, Semi.
Those are pretty cool. How’d you do 'em?
I am, as always, thoroughly impressed. They’re all completely smashing, sweetheart – but I like “Space Rose” the best.
As always, I am awed by the magnificence that is Simetra.
Those are really fantastic. I’d love to have two or three of them enlarged and framed. Think you could cut a fellow BamaDoper a bargain?
Those are cool! “Protomartyr” is my favorite. I like the sense of translucency and depth. Do you use Bryce? Kai’s Power Tools?
And I’ve seen that floating head of death before. Did you post that here or was it on Dilbert-dot-com? (And what makes it float?)
Very nice,
I too, am interested in how you created them. I use Photoshop and Illustrator mostly for my designs, but lately it has mostly been B&W line art. It’s the man keepin’ me down.

Wow… I’m glad you guys liked them.
((Self-confidence + 1))
To answer the question about how I did them… I use nothing more than line and gradient filters in Adobe Photoshop. Pretty neat huh? I learned how to do it all by hand without using any of the pre-packaged filters that come with most graphics editing programs. Of course… I had a good teacher. Thank you John Bossaler. And I also usually end up with about 40 layers when I’m finished that I have to merge somehow to make any kind of respectable .jpg that you don’t need a $100 graphics editing program to see.
I can give you some tricks and shortcuts I picked up if you really want them. Also, there’s a mag out there called, appropriately enough, Photoshop Magazine, that has a bunch of great stuff.
Silky… lol… I’ll see what I can do.
heresiarch… yeah… I posted the FHoD on these boards before… just some stupid thing we did in the office one day… I got it to float by throwing it up in the air. Oooo… the wonders of physics.
Anyway, thanks guys for taking a look at them and for responding so positively. I really appreciate it.
And thank you sweetheart… it means the most to me that you like them.
Very interesting (and thanks for fixing the link in my thread!). I especially like the Hyperspace one.
