I think it’s part of some sort of mid-winter festival/“Christmas in July” thing. It’s rather odd to walk past on what is otherwise a lovely sunny day and see pseudo-snowflakes floating about.
That’s incredibly awesome. Here in Adelaide we’ve got that horrible, misty/drizzly sort of rain that’s been pouring down for the last three and a half hours. Blah.

I’ve discovered that yesterday’s snow-making was part of an ex-patriates’ Canada Day celebration. I’m not sure why ex-patriate Canadians would feel the need to replicate snow in the middle of (their) summer, but anyway…
